MONITORING

Ongoing instability in the AWS Bahrain (me-south-1) region is causing print job failures for customers who have Bahrain configured as their Data Privacy Region. Authentication and all other HP Secure Print services are unaffected. Symptoms * Print jobs submitted but not releasing at the device * Timeout errors in Print Scout logs Workaround Change the Data Privacy Region from Bahrain to an alternate region (e.g., Frankfurt). This has been confirmed to restore service immediately. This change must be made in two places: * Customer default region — applies to all users without an individual region set * User-level region — users with Bahrain set individually must be updated separately, as they will remain affected even after the customer default is changed Important: This change affects where print job data is stored in the cloud and may change the print job information collected for reporting. Please consult your CDO or compliance team before proceeding, as this is your organisation's decision to make. To request assistance, open a support case and we'll be happy to assist. We are monitoring the AWS Health Dashboard and will update this page as the situation develops.

Description

The HP Insights 4.5 release will be available for you beginning on Sunday, May 10th. In preparation, an HP Insights maintenance window to deploy a new Cloud Connector is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday, May 9th. Users may experience a brief interruption as the updates are implemented, in which case HP recommends retrying the action. A new Print Scout and Local Connector will be available for download after this update. There will be no impact to user printing or access to the Admin Console. There will also be no impact to user printing or access to the admin console with the HP Insights 4.5 release at 8:30 PM ET on Sunday, May 10th.
